2009 Schwinn Cutter

[4-5-2011] This was my second bicycle that I bought after starting my bicycle addiction. In 2009, I bought this bike to take me to the next step in my riding. The above picture is how it looked when I bought it from the River Market Cyclery. It was originally a single gear, free wheel bike. Meaning, you can coast without pedaling. I have made some upgrades to it and converted it to a fixed gear. Meaning, if the bike is in motion, the pedals are turning. No coasting. I have also added Eighthinch rims and low bullhorn handlebars. I’m LOVING the conversion from what it was before. It makes riding a lot more fun and you almost have to relearn how to ride.

[7-5-11] Since then, I have changed out the tires for Fyxation’s brown with white wall tires. The seat came from Swobo. It’s got a cool bottle opener underneath! I have also  re-wrapped the bullhorn bars with a brown leather wrap. Next in line is a new stem quill and possibly a new crankset. It came stock with a 46t chainring and after riding the Travelers 52t, I think I need to up it a little. Stay tuned for more updates.

[7-19-11] Ok, so I got the new stem installed yesterday. I order one from Origin-8. Other items that have been added are Origin-8 track pedals and the Molletta Design BiciBand foot straps.
